Chlorova started with a simple frustration: the gardening calculators online were either paywalled, full of ads, or just plain wrong. We set out to build the opposite — a free, fast, trustworthy set of tools that respect both your time and your intelligence.
Today we maintain 142 free calculators, 4 in-depth guides, and a 10-entry reference library of 5 gardening terms and 5 plant profiles. Everything stays free, and product picks rest on published specs and professional tests rather than on who pays us.
What the name means
Chlorova is a portmanteau: chlorophyll + nova. Read literally, it is “new growth” — the moment potential becomes green.
Chloro— (chlorophyll)
The molecule that turns sunlight into living tissue. Every green thing in your garden grows because chlorophyll converts light, water and CO₂ into actual growth — the quiet engine behind every harvest.
—nova (Latin for “new”)
